Behavioural Design in Nepal to support the women towards self-reliance

End of January 2026, Iris ten Thije organised an Ideation Sprint for us with a team of behavioral scientists at SUE | Behavioural Design Academy, with the goal of supporting the women at our Soap Studio towards self-reliance. Together, we developed behavioral interventions that resonate with the local realities of these women. In November 2025, during her trip to her beloved Nepal, she visited the Soap Studio and the women to truly understand what was going on. Their stories, their strengths, and their challenges formed the basis for this Ideation Sprint. We are incredibly grateful to Iris, Mylene, Christa, Mariska, and Laura for their input and dedication and Marjan for letting us use this amazing location and her hospitality. This allows us to continue supporting the women step by step on their journey to self-reliance.

“This project brings everything together for me: expertise, purpose, and human resilience. I am grateful to be involved. It leaves me wanting more! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to make a difference and continue to develop themselves,” says Iris.
